About me!

My name is Logan Newman. I am a father, a maker, and teacher. Like many other makers, I started making things for myself and my family and moved towards making gifts and items for family and others. Along the way I started making things to help me make my gifts and items easier and better. Many of the jigs I sell on my page came into being as I worked in my shop and now I am offering them to you to help in yours! I am a small maker in a big world and i am doing my best to help you  

Where did the name Newman Specials come from? Like I said, I started off making things for myself and, when you are starting this journey, you often start with cheap materials. I had a desk made of 2x4's and plywood and when my wife and I moved into our house from our apartment a friend of ours helped us move. When he saw my Frankendesk he said "What the heck is this?? A Newman Special?" When I did my first craft show I needed a name to register my business for tax purposes and I chose Newman Specials as a memory of what I started making.
